Sad farewell to our lovely Andy

By Happy Giraffe, posted 04th July 2012 at 9:13AM

It was our privilege and pleasure to work with the lovely Andy Hayes over the last ten years on many, many video projects. So it was with much sadness that we learnt of his untimely death last week. Our thoughts are with his son and family. Sad, sad times. But lots of happy memories... eggy sandwiches, the flight lesson (I loved every minute of it - honest!), where's Andy? on most shoots when we would get a last minute call, hours and hours spent filming and editing, working until midnight in your little house in Belbroughton to meet those deadlines. We'll miss you! X

When to use social media

By Happy Giraffe, posted 17th April 2012 at 12:37PM

Timeline taking off

By Happy Giraffe, posted 02nd March 2012 at 8:50AM

If you've been logging into Facebook over the last few months you may have decided to opt for the new look Timeline profile.  Some people were really quick to get on board with this while others have been a bit more tentative before they commit to changing the look of their page, and then there are others who are more than happy with their profile just the way it is!

At the moment, the timeline profile is a choice, but it probably won’t be long before we all find ourselves having to head down this route.  Now, Facebook have decided to give this timeline to brands offering them a different...

Social gaming and how brands are using it

By Happy Giraffe, posted 15th February 2012 at 1:04PM

In the last few months it hasn’t gone unnoticed that our Facebook news feeds seem to be featuring our friends’ latest scores on the games they have been playing online.  Has this been the cold winter nights that have forced people to pick up their laptops or is it because social gaming has an ever increasing popularity?  More and more people seem to be turning to these social games to pass away the time and there is no doubt that social gaming is growing massively.  It is predicted that by the end of this year the number of people using social gaming will reach 68.7 million players.  The...

By Happy Giraffe, posted 02nd February 2012 at 9:24AM

Social media is everywhere, it just keeps on growing and everyone is talking about it in one way or another but does the popularity of social media mean the end of email marketing?  Will we see email marketing disappear altogether?

Email campaigns have been the best way to reach a mass audience over the past few years, but now with social media the scope and reach of campaigns is widening.  There is a common misconception that email marketing is on its way out, but the reality is that email is still going strong.  Although social media is a great tool to help boost your campaigns it...
