On Sunday 28th April 2013, the Happy Giraffes kitted out the prestigious Albion Awards Evening held at the ICC Birmingham. Happy Giraffe ensured West Bromwich Albion’s brand was top notch with printed award brochures, promotional flyers, HTML banners, raffle tickets, table plans, menu and wine list. Happy Giraffe and West Bromwich Albion have been working together for a year now, a growing relationship which is a match-made in Black Country heaven.
The ceremony was presented by avid sports personality and out-spoken Baggies fanatic Adrian Chiles along with a fruitful interlude from...

Happy Giraffe was proud to join client, Dudley College, at the official opening of its fantastic new £30million creative industries centre (Dudley Evolve) and dedicated A level study centre (Dudley Sixth) in the Dudley Learning Quarter.
The Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP led the celebrations alongside Principal, Lowell Williams, at the unveiling of the two buildings that both sport branding and impressive graphics designed and delivered by the fantastic team here. A big well done to everyone involved!

We have had great fun in designing the signage for the new Dudley Sixth building. It's great to see the signage in place and it's had a great response from the students. A great learning environment that links with the brand we have developed around provoking thought.

We loved the identity that we developed for the rebranding of Bards Walk retail outlet in Stratford-upon-Avon. As did the client, Aviva Investors. We're now feeling doubly pleased that we were obviously setting trends with our retro-look as Tesco's rebranding of its Everyday Value range proves. Watch our space for more trends coming soon!

Its 105 days until the start of the Olympics. It sounds like a lot but we all know how quickly time flies!
The Olympics is already playing a high profile part in the marketing that we see daily, whether our athletes are seen endorsing products or the Olympic logo appears on a sponsor’s advert you can’t really get away from it. It’s been in the news this week that John Lewis, who are the official retailer of London 2012, are rolling out dedicated space within their stores to sell official merchandise. The merchandise in these stores will of course be the official goods with full London...

As chocolate lovers in the HG office we were interested to see last week that Kraft had decided upon the new name for the corporate brand that will be behind the consumer brands including Cadbury’s. Created through employee engagement the new brand was revealed with the name 'Mondelez'. The inspiration for the name came from suggestions from both Europe and America where the words 'Monde’ meaning ‘world’ in Latin, and ‘delez’ meaning ‘delicious’ were merged together.
We read with interest the way that this new brand had been developed only to find a few days later that the combination of...

During a very busy week at Happy Giraffe, we were delighted to take time out to celebrate the launch of one of our favourite recent projects.
What Money Means is a new teaching resource pack produced by us on behalf of pfeg (Personal Finance Education Group), the independent charity helping schools to plan and teach personal finance relevant to students' lives and needs.
At a fantastic event at The Brewery in the heart of London’s financial district, we listened to interesting presentations from pfeg, teachers and student teachers about the importance of personal finance education for...

As an agency we get a range of briefs appearing in our inbox. They all vary and it’s interesting to see how different companies approach putting a brief together. Those without a brief, often don’t know what they should include or where to start so we’ve put together a few tips to help you out.
First things first, tell us about who you are and what you do. Give us some background on where you are now and why you need an agency. Once you’ve addressed the background tell us where you want to be. What are your objectives and what do you want/expect to achieve from this project?
What...

At Happy Giraffe we clock up the miles travelling the length and breadth of the country working with Happy clients. On our way back from a recent brand workshop, we were pleased to be able to liven the return journey up by playing a little game of 'I spy' that involved spotting Happy Giraffe client-branded vehicles. Always nice to see your work on display. And to confirm (especially if Mr Motorway policeman happens to be reading this) all photos were taken by the passenger and not the driver!
