Balfor Recruitment

Requirement

Award-winning Birmingham-based recruitment consultancy, Balfor, approached Happy Giraffe for support in both differentiating and repositioning its brand in the crowded marketplace and to inject some fun into its marketing collateral.

The company has specialist divisions in Commercial, Construction, IT, Education, Social Care and Sales and Marketing and needed a new identity which would bring all of these departments together and reflect the company's brand values.

The imagery needed to be innovative, fresh and versatile enough to be applied to a wide variety of media including stationery, brochure, web, internal signage, advertising templates etc. Literature needed to appeal to both employers and potential candidates.

Solution

We came up with fresh new concepts featuring child models and the strapline 'be whatever you want to be', creating a quirkier brand and developing a distinctive tone of voice for Balfor's literature.

You could say that Happy Giraffe has helped Balfor to 'be whatever they want to be'!

Holywell Spring Water

Requirement

Holywell Spring Water asked Happy Giraffe to design and implement a lead generation campaign to assist in the product's launch to market.

As the still and sparkling water enjoys a rich historical provenance and supply is limited by the spring, the traditionally styled product is aimed at higher end restaurants and hotels.

Solution

The Happy team drew up an initial list of 250 establishments which fitted the target market criteria, within a 25 mile radius of the Holy Well itself.

Our in-house designers then devised a memorable fold-out direct mail piece which was followed up with an appointment setting phone-call.

The end result was a fabulous 15% conversion rate and a contract to supply AA Restaurant of the Year England 2009, Michelin starred Purnell's in Birmingham!

We'll raise our glasses to that!
